His work encompasses both the design and execution of development initiatives that often reflect an organization’s need to align people to its strategic imperatives.

Prior to working as a consultant, Paul spent 13 years with Johnson & Johnson. Whilst with J&J, he performed a variety of large-scale operational HR roles, including the creation of a Talent Management organization. Specific to learning and development, he was a pioneer in introducing a Talent Acceleration Process (TAP) to J&J operating companies resulting in 6 specific experiences across Europe, Middle East and Africa with 150 ‘high-potential’ delegates from across the globe. Additionally, Paul led activities in 2010 to strengthen the consistent deployment of high quality curriculum through a global review of programs and applicability. This effort was designed to produce higher quality delivery at lower cost across the J&J business groups. This work is currently being deployed by Pivot and provides global classroom learning and access to online tools and techniques to drive leadership performance.

Paul’s latest focus has been a pioneering development of blended learning opportunities that incorporate residential-based learning, field-based activity and ongoing coaching for delegates who are emerging leaders in emerging markets. A recent example includes his driving collaboration between INSEAD and J&J in identifying society and business opportunities in Tanzania, Egypt and Abu Dhabi. These opportunities, once identified, are then addressed utilizing MBA undergraduate talent and J&J emerging leaders.

Specific to Succession Planning activities, Paul has led the drive towards a strategic view of Succession Planning through creating longer terms plans for individuals. Backing this up, are the specific shorter-term activities and development initiatives that accelerates personal development.

Paul also provides individual executive coaching services to talents either integrated with leadership development activities or as specific time-bound interventions. Clients are across the SME and large Corporate environments.

Paul was born in Dublin, Ireland and has a first degree in Politics and Sociology. He gained a Certificate in Coaching from Henley Business School in 2010 and he lives 30 miles north of London, England.
