Adviser, educator, author, founder and Chairman of Global Executive Learning, the Global Forum on Strategic Transformations, Leadership and Learning, and founder of a unique approach to organizational and leadership development- Business Driven Action Learning (BDAL).

Since 1990, he and GEL have helped leading multinationals design and implement executive programs in almost every region of the world and in a multitude of industries. His other area of expertise is in assessing the external environment of business, especially geopolitical and future trends affecting company and country strategies.

Formerly, Professor of Strategy and the External Environment of Business at IMD (International Institute for Management Development), Lausanne, Switzerland; the Theseus International Management Institute in the Sophia Antipolis Science and Technology Park, France; and appointments at the University of Toronto, and Harvard University. He has been affiliated with several other research and teaching institutions among them: MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and the Huber Institute at Columbia University in New York. He is also a member of the International Editorial Advisory Board for the journal Action Learning: Research & Practice and is listed in the Marquis' Who's Who in the World.

He has written research reports, books and articles that deal with subjects on contemporary global issues, executive education as well as historical works on twentieth century topics. Among his more recent articles are: “Developing Global Executives: Today and Tomorrow”; “Beyond Knowledge Management: How Companies Mobilize Experience” (in The Financial Times, London); “Emerging Economies, Emerging Hopes” (in the World Competitiveness Report published by the World Economic Forum and IMD). Among some of his latest books are Action Learning and Its Applications with Robert L. Dilworth; Business Driven Action Learning: Global Best Practices, and, Action Learning Worldwide: Experiences of Leadership and Organizational Development.

Yury Boshyk completed his doctorate at the University of Oxford, his Master's degree at the London School of Economics, and his B.A. at the University of Toronto. He was born in Toronto, and is a Canadian citizen living in Ottawa, Canada having lived in Europe for twenty-seven years.
