FERNANDO LANZER PEREIRA DE SOUZA

fernandoFernando Lanzer is a senior consultant, coach and facilitator in leadership and organization development.

As an HR executive for over 28 years, he was personally involved in designing and leading O.D. interventions in the companies he was working for, acting as an internal change agent and driving strategic shifts in those companies. As a consultant he has accumulated 9 years of experience with client companies from different industries, mostly on Executive Education and Cross-Cultural Management programs. He has earned a reputation for providing practical, tailor-made programmes co-designed with his clients.

For 15 years up until 2007 he played many different roles within ABN AMRO Bank, in Latin America (Head of HR) and in Amsterdam (as Group Head of Leadership Development and Learning). He has acted most of the time also as a change agent, integrating multinational acquisitions of smaller banks into the ABN AMRO organization, and until 2007, managing the development of ABN AMRO's "Top 200" global leaders. Attracting and developing top talent coming from different cultures in five continents was an important part of that role.

As a consultant his recent assignments have taken him to many different places in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas, working on intercultural issues and HR Development themes for multinational companies such as 3i Capital Markets, ABB, Atento, Danisco, EDF, Ferrovial/British Airport Authority(BAA), Laing O’Rourke, Marcopolo, Odebrecht Engineering, Santander, Sony, Technip, Vesuvius, and the European Space Agency (ESA). Throughout his career, he has carried out projects and assignments in over 50 countries.

Fernando is a Psychologist and holds a Post Graduate degree in Organization Development from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. He is also certified in Managerial Effectiveness Workshops (W.J. Reddin, London), Developing Entrepreneurial Competencies (MSI – Washington D.C.), Organizational Culture (ITIM - Sweden) and International Culture Management (ITIM). Fernando sits on the Supervisory Group of AIESEC International, the world’s largest student exchange organization.

His passions include films, music, and helping people grow. He enjoys travelling to places which allow him to further pursue these passions. Fernando is totally fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and he is fluent enough to get himself in trouble in Italian, French and Dutch.

He lives in Amstelveen, The Netherlands.
